Description:

Trauma is stored in both body and in the mind. Using IFS and Somatic Therapy techniques can help process emotions to create a balance of safety in the body. Having safety felt in the body creates pathways for better life experiences, better relationships, and better overall health.  

Education Objectives: At the end of the training, participants will:

  1. Explain how trauma is stored in our body 
  2. Introduce Foundations of Internal Family Systems 
  3. Explain core principals of Somatic Therapy 
  4. How IFS and Somatic Therapy techniques can be integrated

I am a Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (LAMFT) assisting individuals and families with mental health and relationship issues. 

I believe in the importance of connection and communication. We all have wisdom to be our own leader of our lives. Sometimes our inner wisdom can be hidden by trauma. I hold a Trauma Certification (CCPT I) and use models such as Internal Family Systems, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Gottman, Narrative Therapy, EMDR techniques, and Solution Focused therapy to help reveal your inner wisdom. I tailor my approach to fit each client's individual needs and goals.

I aim to create a safe space for open conversation and personal growth, helping you change and heal. My goal is to support you in getting “unstuck” and finding your direction in life. We will focus on healing from within, not just making surface-level changes.
