Description:
This 3-day training for the Crisis Counseling Assistance and Training Program is to prepare crisis counseling providers to assist individuals and communities in recovering from the challenging effects of natural and human-caused disasters through the provision of community-based outreach and psychoeducational services. Additionally, participants will be asked to watch a 2-hour disaster training asynchronous workshop prior to the training.

Presenters: Dr. Kym Leonard, Leslie Lunney, and Kelly Michael Moselle
Dr. Kym Leonard, DNP-BC, CMAC, is a Board-Certified Doctor of Nursing Practice who partners with local, national, and international governments and communities to bring awareness to mental/behavioral health, addiction medicine and primary care. Dr. Kym works in private practice. Having an entrepreneurial mindset, she serves as a business counsel to other healthcare providers and clinicians. This includes guidance in startups, structuring and maintaining success in business and career choices.
Dr. Kym is the founder of GKM Training Institute (GKMTI.Com) a nationally accredited school that offers courses in two divisions: Addiction Counseling and School of Ministry. She is a published co-author in the Johns Hopkins Medical Journal (Bariatric Nursing and Surgical Patient Care 06/2008; 3(2):93-100); and has authored two counseling books.
Dr. Kym holds a degree in Clinical Psychology; two master's degrees: 1. Education and 2. Leadership; and her Post Master's in Family Nurse Practitioner hails from the University of Massachusetts at Boston. Her doctorate degree is from Chamberlain University in Illinois. She also holds a Master Addiction Counseling Certification.
Leslie Lunney, LPC, CPCS, CACII, ACS, MAC, SAP brings to this seminar the lived experience as a vetted crisis response therapist serving the State of Georgia with the Governor’s Office of Public Safety and Support, an EMDR therapist with The Recovery Place in Savannah, GA, and years of experience in the field of mental health and substance use treatment across the Georgia and nationally. Leslie serves on several professional boards across the state and is active in her community serving on City Council and at her church serving coffee!
Kelly Michael Moselle, MA, MS, CAC II, CMAC, CCS, CMATS,CAMS II, a Certified Addiction Counselor, currently serves as the Director of Training and Education for Georgia Addiction Counselors Association. Following a 16-year career in student affairs in Higher Education, Kelly began working in the field of addiction and recovery. He has spent the past 16 years changing lives with his passion to help others. Whether providing clinical supervision, building recovery coalitions, or working directly with individual clients, his dedication is the creation of an optimal experience for positive growth and recovery.
